The moment you find the pair,
the word stays with you.

REAL PLAY FLOW

Pick it on the map, actually solve it, then take the reward.

Instead of a feature list, here is the real loop. All four screens below come from a real device.

1Star Route

Choose a stage on the journey

Stars, pairs and layers are shown before you commit to a board.

2Difficulty selection

Choose a difficulty

Easy, normal and hard change how many pairs and layers you face.

3Real board

Match the picture to the word

Pan across a layered board and clear tiles that mean the same thing.

4Victory result

Earn stars and achievements

The costume you were wearing carries through to the result screen.

WORLD JOURNEY

Finish a board and the next world opens.

Not just a new backdrop โ€” the world map, the word set, the board silhouettes and the costumes all change together.

DAILY & COLLECTION

A reason to come back daily โ€” and a reason to keep collecting.

Missions, attendance, the wheel, items, badges and the word album form a single growth loop.

Daily missions

Daily missions

Goals like play-streaks and three-star clears pull you naturally into the next board.

Attendance calendar

30-day attendance

Hearts and coins laid out day by day as a repeating reward.

Wheel

Spin the wheel

An instant reward mixing hearts and items.

Items

Items

Counts, equippable effects and full descriptions on one screen.

Badge collection
Word collection

Badges and the word album

Achievements become badges; the words you learned become a picture album. Repeating the puzzle is itself the collecting.

ERIKA & COSTUMES

What you wear shows up on the result screen.

The real wardrobe screen is the centrepiece; web decoration is kept to a minimum. Use the buttons below to switch between the actual costume screens.

VERSUS MODE

The same board, at the same time, against someone else.

Arena selectionReal versus gameplay

The puzzle becomes a competitive mode.

Across eight arenas you solve an identical layout simultaneously and watch your opponent's progress next to your own. With nobody around, you can play against the device.

LEARNING CONTROL

You decide how the learning works.

Pick your own language and the language you are learning independently, then tune word cards, learning mode, text-to-speech, the minimap and the timed challenge.

Learning English from Korean
Learning settings

Interface and learning languages are separate

Keep English as your interface and learn Korean โ€” or any other pairing. The two axes are chosen separately.

Country ranking

Ranking is shown as a percentile

Your best score and where it sits within your country sample.

WORD AUDIO ยท TTS

No sound for the
language you learn?

Kโ€‘Tile reads matched words aloud. The sound comes from your phoneโ€™s speech engine (TTS), not from the game. If your phone has no voice data for the language you learn, nothing is spoken and the gameโ€™s settings show โ€œno voiceโ€.

CLEAR & HONEST

The fun up front โ€” and the policies stated plainly.

Saved progress

Progress is saved on your phone only. There is no cloud save, so switching devices does not carry your progress over (paid products restore through your Google account).

Ads and products

Rewarded ads are yours to choose, and full-screen ads never interrupt a board you are playing. Price, ads and accounts are written out in โ€œThings to know up frontโ€ below.

Real screens first

Every screen on this page was captured on a real device. Only the status and navigation bars were cropped โ€” the game screens themselves are untouched.

Claims about learning

We do not guarantee learning outcomes. It is built to help you pick up words, but it does not replace a dictionary or a textbook.

WHAT TO KNOW

Things to know up front

We write these down instead of hiding them.

PriceFree to start. Removing ads and unlimited hearts (monthly and weekly subscriptions โ€” these renew until you cancel, in Google Play โ†’ Subscriptions) are planned as optional purchases. Payments are not open during the closed test, so nothing can be bought yet.
LanguageThe game plays in English. The interface ships in 13 languages, all free โ€” you pick yours in Settings, and you can set which language you are learning separately from the interface language. The screenshots above show the Korean interface.
AdsRewarded ads are yours to choose โ€” you decide whether to watch one. Full-screen ads never interrupt a board you are playing; they appear only after a board has ended.
Ad personalisationWe do not request personalised ads. Every ad request is marked non-personalised. Google still uses your advertising ID for frequency capping and aggregate reporting โ€” see the Privacy Policy.
Signing inNot required. Google sign-in is optional, and right now it changes nothing in the game โ€” there is no feature yet that moves your progress onto an account. If you do sign in, our server stores your Google account identifier, your verified email address and the time you confirmed you are 14 or over; we never receive your name or profile picture. Everything in the game works without signing in, and you can erase the account yourself at any time.
Saved progressStored on your phone only. There is no cloud save, so if you change phones your progress does not come back (items bought with real money are restored through your Google account).
AgeFor ages 14 and over.
โš ๏ธ We do not promise learning results. The game is built to help words stick, but it does not replace a dictionary or a textbook. If a word's meaning or picture is wrong, tell us through hold a word in the Collection and choose "What's Wrong?" (available when your learning language differs from your own โ€” there is no meaning line to report otherwise) in the game โ€” we read every report. Corrections are published by hand, so a reported word does not change by itself.
The report window opens when the language you read meanings in differs from the language you are learning (for example, English meanings while learning Korean).

If you need help

Write to softback.help@gmail.com or dev@softbackgames.com.
If you want your account removed, you can do it yourself on the account deletion page โ€” in the app and on that page it is immediate (by email, within 10 days), with no waiting period.

Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are written in Korean; the English versions are at /en/privacy and /en/terms. Where the two differ, the Korean text governs. The Korean text is the original and prevails if the two differ.
